Re: Getting rid of your timeshare (by R P.):

I have distinctly answered your question below ..... why do you keep copying and posting the same info:

"UNLOAD" is your keyword here .... so in other words you try to "UNLOAD" any ownership of whatever you may tire of (ie: car, boat, house, etc). When you bought your timeshare you signed a legally bindingl contract. In doing so you are legally responsible for all future fees regarding that purchase until you sell it or give it away. If you no longer want or can use your timeshare then the proper thing to do is offer to give it away paying closing costs and maintenance fees for the current year.

A 3 bedroom at ultra-nice Westgates Lakes shouldn't be hard to give away .... someone posted some photos of that resort recently on another forum and they were awesome.

If I were just now getting into traveling, I would take some of these free timeshares in a NY minute that someone paid thousands of dollars to a developer when they bought originally. The only cost to the new buyer would be annual maintenance fees. This is a win-win situation for newly retired people and people with families that like to travel and stay in luxury accomodations such as your 3 bedroom Westgate Lakes ownership".
