Re: Getting rid of your timeshare (by Don P.):
I've known Jayjay for a good time now and I know she is in no way connected to the industry. She only tries to help people make educated decissions pertaining to their situations. Most of us in here are just trying to help others avoid the scammers. We were successful in running BJ Cooke and his scam machine out of the forums along with his company PRL. Unfortunately we weren't able to prevent him from taking thousands of dollars of peoples hard earned money.
Like Jayjay states there are so many scams out there and this one sounds very questionable. I would like to know what they do with the properties that they claim to take ownership of after taking the money from the clients. If they can't or refuse to answer that question then nobody should do business with them. One of the reasons maintenance fees have gone up so much is because of the viking ship companies. That alone is reason enough not to do business with them.
I personally believe that most timeshare owners are satisfied customers like I was when I bought my first timeshare. I have since seen the industry take a turn around. First with RCI being bought by a greedy corporation that started selling prime weeks on the open market and depriving owners of the exchanges. Then there was the ever increasing maintenance fees some caused by viking ship companies.
I would like to see the industry return to the good old days but that will never happen but we can work together to improve owners benefits. I belong to the National Timeshare Owners Association. We represent owners interest not the industries interests. It's the voice of owners like you and I. Please consider joining the only organization I know that fights for owners rights.
