The fact that they are initializing contact with you (sending cards, making phone calls) is usually a sign of a scam.

Them supposedly calling you from a CA number is irrelevant. Many scam artists use a voice over internet phone and can "spoof" phone numbers. They could very well be calling you from outside the USA.

What are you hoping to do with your timeshare? If you're looking to just get rid of it, then advertise it on reputable timeshare resale sites such as here on RedWeek.
