To jamesv145: Here is something I found on the Internet last night.
http://www.insidethegate.com/gatehouse/2011/05/western-usa-may-28-2011/
Trent Van Buskirk / & / Guy Russell use to be partners in the same company called VBS at the same address R & R Venture Group uses today. ??? I called my contact for more information and she told me that these two parted ways because Guy Russell stole money from the company.
Dated May 28, 2011 LAS VEGAS: Bad dog! Sit! Stay! Trent Van Buskirk, CEO of Las Vegas-based Vacation Business Services (aka Global Points) has been a bad boy. According to reports, his group has been calling timeshare owners across the country, meeting them in restaurants and selling them a new timeshare under the guise of converting their existing weeks into RCI Points. Thats right. Their victims believe a convoluted story about how they need to buy a week at Club Trinidad, a Palm Springs, CA, timeshare in order to get them the amount of points they need. The victims are allegedly assured that before a bill comes due RCI will convert their units to points, which would then be used to pay off Club Trinidad. The price? Somewhere in the vicinity of $7,000- $8,000, which is put on a credit card. Naturally, RCI knows nothing about this; not only do the victims of this deal NOT end up with RCI Points, they DO end up with another timeshare which they didnt want and didnt realize they were actually buying. There are also reports that in some cases no buying of a timeshare was ever mentioned during the presentation. In this scenario potential clients were told that the money being paid would go directly for the purchase of RCI Points. Imagine their surprise when they realized they had bought a timeshare in Palm Springs and still didnt have the Points they wanted! Dont you have to wonder if Club Trinidad knows this is going on??? Trent Van Buskirk has had a long history of bad dealings. It is unfortunate because there ARE great re-sellers out there who give value for the money. Trent clean this up, or you will be cleaned up. Consumers have rights, and you can not give the entire industry a bad name NOTE: This sure sounds like Guy Russell & Nonna Russell to me.
jamesv145 wrote:This is interesting to me , since in this forum and also as I have been told, that Bill Mitchell and SSH are innocent of any wrong doing and were also scammed and lost money. First when I was told PRL was going out of business , I was told that Bill Mitchell was flying in from Las Vegas to talk with the staff. I believe he knew about the office in Las Vegas that now he claims they had no affiliation with .Second, with his business experience and experience with contracts, it is difficult to see him and his associate ties getting scammed or did he and all his associates just close their eyes . This was copied out of the BBB sight for Sunset Harbor: Alternate Business Names JMBN Family Ltd. Partners -R&R Venture- Rental Liquidator Sunset Harbor Resort & Luxury Condominiums-- The JMBN was interesting , after looking this up It showed other people connected to Bill Mitchell. Just connecting dots.
