Re: Anyone have experience with Timeshare rentals are timeshares that owners rent to other individuals, rather than use for themselves. Timeshare rentals are nothing new, yet most travelers are unfamiliar with them. (by Paul P.):
All, My biggest complaints is that redweek states: "Timeshare rentals are timeshares that owners rent to other individuals, rather than use for themselves. Timeshare rentals are nothing new, yet most travelers are unfamiliar with them. RedWeek.com is the largest online marketplace for timeshares, and has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Owners post their timeshare units on our site, and connect directly with travelers looking to rent. No middleman, and no tours. Ever."
"No middleman" and "Preston Green or Americap International Corp" they are.
They do not own these units.
I guess my definition of a middleman is different than others. The inference in this site is no-one besides the owner and the renter is exchange money. Thatway the they (owner and renter) save money.
If "Preston Green or Americap International Corp" get a better price for the owner ... the renter looses in paying the middleman's costs and the increase price for the unit.
I have rented for years on redweek and never had a bad rental from a owner. We(Owners and I) have called each other and maintained good relationships for years ... which is a good thing.
I have pointed people/friends to redweek to find good timeshares to rent and a few have called Preston Green. My friends told me they had a hard sale to rent from them telling them "the units are going fast" plus ... Also, when my friends asked is this unit available ... they "Preston Green or Americap International Corp" did not know and would have to get back to them.
People just need to beware.
