ANFI Resort - STAY AWAY (by Bernardino P.):

I would like to warn everyone that should go visiting any ANFI Resort on their unacceptable policy towards customers that want to withdraw from any contract signed after a visit in the resorts. I had this bad experience with last summer when I visited ANFI Del Mar Resort in Gran Canaria. After the usual visit of the resort I was offered to buy a time sharing that I refused. They insisted in offering me one week for three years and I accepted and signed the contract. Once back in my hotel (after a few hours) I decided to withdraw from my commitment based on the following European regulation: "The Timeshare Directive was adopted in 1994 in order to protect consumer's interests including: Giving purchasers the right to information in a prospectus before signing a contract and requirements for the content of the contract. Once the contract is signed, the consumer has a cooling-off period of at least 10 days, during which he can withdraw from the contract without giving any reason; A ban on advance payments throughout the cooling-off period". I immediately wrote a e-mail notifying my withdrawal and asking for refund of the down payment (950 Euros). Although several e-mails and regular mail have been sent, no reply have ever been sent back to me and NO REFUND has ever been granted. I consider this attitude unacceptable and against the law that protect the customers. I WARN EVERYBODY TO STAY AWAY FROM ANFI GROUP
