Re: anyone been to this resort? (by Blake P.):

My Costa Rican vacation was an amazing experience. The only problems we had was with our condo at Coco Sunset Vacation Club. What I learned was that they put the Interval International people in a part of the resort that was closed. When they "re-opened" the condos they never painted the walls, updated the beds, appliances, etc. We had a countless amount of stains on the walls, it was gross. There were holes in the bathroom walls too. The appliances were old and one did not work. The shelves on the fridge were broken. We did not think the shelf would fall but it did, on my foot. There was glass everywhere but the maintenance people came right away.

The employees at Coco Sunset were really helpful and knew that giving Interval people closed condos was wrong.

Coco Adventures, located in Coco Sunset, is a great tourism company. All their tours are totally reasonable and exciting. We did the Arenal volcano tour, Ortega boat tour, and Adventure tour. Food was included and they took us to all amazingly delicious restaurants. Transportation was also included so we did not have to rent a car.

Playa Del Coco had so many great restaurants. Every place we ate was unforgettable. Papagayo's was the best! We ate at there 3 times.

The food at Coconuts was good but we learned that they have 2 American girls hustle for them. These 2 girls talk to other Americans and order drinks for them. When the bill comes they are out and the bill is almost double what it is suppose to be. This happened to us and 2 other guys.

This was my boyfriends-sister's condo and she gave it to us. When we told her about the room she was really upset and called Interval. Coco Sunset should be putting us in the new condos and not the once closed down and never re-done ones.

Blake.
