It's very easy to find studio or one bedrooms for less than $800 a week in Bucerias - have been doing it for years. It's actually a fair price for a two bedroom, but as one person traveling, I certainly don't need a two bedroom, and don't want to pay for what I'm not using. Unfortunately, the sales people lied to me and told me that if the construction wasn't completed by August 2014, as stated in my contract, that I could stay at whatever they had available for the same price as the studio. I understand pre-construction is a gamble - would not have risked it at all if they hadn't told me that. My bad for not making them put it in writing. They just told me last month that they were not building the Sky Towers until late 2016. Since they have already changed the date three times, I am not that hopeful. And in the meantime, that means I paid for a unit that I can't use for at least three years from when I signed the contract. If they couldn't deliver, they could have bought back the property, as also stated in my contract - they have decided I don't qualify for the buy back - even though they have nothing in writing regarding the program. It's a nice property - they have just failed to fulfill contracts and promised amenities in the time stipulated. I'm sure you would feel the same way if they didn't have any two bedrooms available for you to use for at least three years of your contract. You are lucky you did not purchase a smaller unit.
