It all depends on what the ad says and/or what you negotiate with the seller. Be careful sometimes $1 timeshares aren't worth a $1 and if you "buy" and figure it out too late you may be paying all closing costs and 1-2 years of MF's and/or including banked weeks in order to get someone to take it off your hands.
On the other hand a $1 timeshare might be one that didn't work for the previous owner but might be just what you are looking for. Just make sure you know what you are getting.
