Hello there; as someone who works with HOA boards at different timeshares, I can assure you that abstaining simply turns your possible vote into a NOTHING that has no impact on anyone. Most boards have enough proxies in their back pockets to conduct meetings, even if no regular owners show up. So if you want to exercise your right as an owner to vote, or abstain, that's perfectly fine. Just be clear on one thing. An abstention is same thing as throwing your ballot into the trash.
