Re: Manhattan Club Lawsuit (by Gerard S.):
I hope that 92 year old couple understands what they're getting into.Things such as the ever rising maintenance fee ($2000. & rising) ,the difficulty making reservations due the club being oversold & the headaches its going to cause their heirs one day. If someone offered this to me for free I'd run. Your not doing them any favors but passing them down your headache. Not to mention the NYS Attorney General's ongoing investigation into the Manhattan Club that put a freeze on all transactions (sales, foreclosures, assets, etc). They are better off making normal hotel reservations themselves wherever & whenever they want to vacation. Nobody needs to "own" their own vacation resort room. These timeshares are set up to have the rules of real estate apply to them ( mortgages, deeds, maintenance, property tax) but you really don't "own" anything but "TIME". Check out the devious sales tactic videos on You Tube from the Timeshare sales pros & you'll get the idea.
