The renter is probably Canadian and doesn't know where you are from. Do you want to be paid in Canadian or US dollars? Obviously you would want to be paid in your local currency. One thing to be aware of when paid through PayPal is the transaction fee is higher for international processing. Some Canadians have CC with US addresses associated with their paypal account that can avoid the extra 1.9%.
