Re: Manhattan Club Lawsuit (by C G.):

Thank you, Chris. I totally agree with the benefits you outlined. As for maintenance fees, NYC fees should be some of the lowest. At TMC there is NO swimming pool, spa tub to maintain. Those are amenities that are costly to maintain. TMC only has heating and AC to maintain, which can be costly, but that's it. With all the MF collected since opening, at minimum, furnishings should be of the highest quality...Sleep number beds, Sterns Foster mattresses for instance, various interior styles...mid century, contemporary, etc. to choose from. I would hope a member forum could be established where members have a voice on how we want our investment handled, run, updated, preserved, etc. With the amount of investors involved we MUST have a voice. Real Estate regulations in NYC are extremely complicated and strict, owners must be privy to the business...just WHERE our hard earned cash is going, how it is being used. Our dollars matter...hold tight to all paperwork. Real estate, especially in NYC, does NOT depreciate, especially In Manhattan. Though "small little gold mines", what we paid for HAS value. Hold steady and be patient. Time is money...values keep rising. I choose to believe "you get what you pay for". In TMC instance, values have at minimum tripled or quadrupled. Spreading hope!

to those of us who THANKED ANY PRINCIPAL in the so-called settlement of the manhattan club lawsuit, SAVE YOUR THANKS. the nysag was doing his job, most likely NOT for the direct benefit of owners. currently we're still in limbo. NOBODY KNOWS WHERE WE STAND; we still don't know how or if the settlement will affect us. save your THANKFUL APPRECIATION for an official leader or entity that will help make us financially whole again offering us remunerative options that we owners deserve.

i for one want to keep TMC as my timeshare; i want any unpaid maintenance fees forgiven (i obviously couldn't use facilities that i didn't pay for but which eichner was quite able to rent out as hotel space and continue adding to his fortune for doing so!) ; i want maintenance fees to return to the level we were promised at the fraudulent sales presentation, and i want to be able to get reasonable reservation time, and not have to decide 9 months out for booking, i will gratefully THANK ANY ENTITY WHICH WILL OFFER US THESE BENEFITS WHICH WE ALL DESERVE AFTER 3 LONG YEARS OF COMPLAINING AND OVERALL REACHING, OUT PRIMARILY VIA THIS FORUM, TO PEOPLE WHO COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT US AS TMC OWNERS ABOUT THE FINAL OUTCOME OF THESE LEGAL PROCEEDINGS..

people who should be THANKED FOR THEIR EFFORTS ON OWNERS' BEHALF OF OWERS are those like irene smalls, jeff weir, and unnamed others who worked above and beyond for us. (forgive me if i left anyone else's name out who did something concrete for us, but we all know who they are!)

so save up your THANKS for those who will now show and offer us owners concrete benefits as beneficiaries of this legal victory chalked up by the nysag. if mr schneiderman didn't initially hear from us (rightful) complainers (owners) at TMC in the first place , he wouldn;t have had a case to call a victory for himself.

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHO CURRENTLY DESERVE IT.

keep in touch.
