Re: "Stay PC" or "Vacation Crew" (by Michael T.):
I'm here to close the thread on this one.
I am a skeptic, did business all my life as an insurance underwriter.
So, particularly in this day and age of hacking and identity theft, when an offer pops up out of the blue and seems too good to be true, we all should be skeptical. When StayPC offered to take my timeshare on Easter Sunday, April Fools’ Day, I almost put it in trash.
But I did some due diligence - like here; exchanged a few emails with them to test response; modified their contract to again test them and, I must say, they proved to me to be legit and in the end I agreed to give my week to them at full price, payable up front - not in installments.
I created an "occupancy addendum" for the contract to keep a lid on how many people could occupy the rooms. I appended my own contract that I use with individuals who have rented from me to attach to theirs.
Any additions or modifications need to be part of their contract because they use language called an "entire agreement" clause. If you end up in a dispute, without your add- ons being "part of their agreement" you will be out of luck.
In four days we worked out details and language. Yesterday they sent me my money via Paypal Personal payment - so no fees taken out.
All said and done, I will do business with them again.
