Re: Manhattan Club Lawsuit (by Debra L.):

By debral251 Wayne, I agree. It doesn't seem financially feasible that TMC or another new owner would take thousands of people to court who live in many different states. I think there is a good likelihood that at some point they will make an offer to just have you turn your timshare in and walk away.... cut your losses ...and there are many that will do just that, given the option. And TMC or whoever else can recover the loss of maintenance fees by reselling or renting the units to the public, without incurring legal fees to go after everyone... especially given all of the illegal tactics that they've admitted to committing... admissions that people can use to fight them. And as I have said previously, this $1,250 INITIAL retainer that Zimmerman is asking for, I'm fairly certain is only the beginning. And once you're in after making the retainer payment, your choices will be to continue giving this law firm money as they continue to ask for it, or to back out and lose what you've already given them. No thanks. I've spent enought money already on this bad investment... and I'm going to chalk it up to just that. I'll wait it out..But I wish the best of luck to those who choose to jump on board going that route.
