Re: "Stay PC" or "Vacation Crew" (by Michael T.):
Without directly comparing your contract vs. mine I cannot help explain their actions. On page #2 of my contract the top of the page has a "Balance Due Date". I was paid by that date. If the Stay PC client backed out before that date on my contract or yours then I can see where SPC can avoid paying you.
If after and they agreed to pay you 100% up front then I cannot see how they can avoid paying you. At that point they are on the hook. The para at the bottom of page #2 of the contract indicates that it is possible that SPC's original client may cancel and then SPC has the right to send you a new name that you need to put on the reservation. Nowhere in the contract gives SPC any right to terminate the contract between SPC and you because their clients cancel. You never need to refund any money to them.
So I see just one hook and that is the Balance Due Date. Then, if you want to fight them it all happens in their home town and you risk paying a lawyer and even their legal costs if you lose.
