Given that Marriott has ROFR, can you actually buy points on the secondary market? I want to buy 5000 points, and on Redweek it looks like they go for $5-7/point (including the $2/point fee.) The Marriott Rep we talked with told me that in 20 years he hasn't seen it happen because Marriott always buys them back. Anyone have experience with this?
