Re: List of pet friendly timeshare resorts .... (by Ev L.):

This is woefully inadequate & fails to include more upscale brands like Marriott, Westin, etc. As a timeshare owner you need to be vocal with your sales gallery reps, whenever you attend a presentation, as we did today at the Marriott Pulse - San Diego - & contact your corporate offices. If they hear from enough of us often enough it is more likely to move the needle toward converting a portion of more resorts to ‘pet friendly’. If one small but upscale brand that we know of can do it these other brands can too.

With each presentation we attend we tell them we WILL NOT purchase more points, more time, more anything unless we can travel with our small dogs to their resorts. And getting an ‘emotional support’ certificate/harness is no guarantee. More than 20 states are considering action to prevent these from being accepted as ‘service dogs’ at lodgings in their jurisdictions, and elsewhere it is very hit & miss whether your pet will be accepted. Not a risk we want to take after traveling long distances with them to our timeshare destination.

The Timeshare Users Group (TUG) has a list of pet-friendly timeshares. The link is below.

It is always best to call the resort before booking to verify if they still accept pets.
