They want to switch everyone to points . They can charge higher maintenance fees and sell more points . You would be at the mercy of the resort whether you can get an exchange or not . If you own a deeded week you can visit your home resort every year . I have a deeded week in Las Vegas and I go there every year . I wouldn't sell it for any money . I love going there and I never trade it . I got rid of two timeshares in 2011 because of the hassle trying to get an exchange .
