Hi Mr. Conrad’s. I appreciate Redweek.com. In theory, the concept is exceptional. During these exceptional times (Covid 19) I beg to differ. I am a Canadian senior on a limited income. I rented 3 timeshare units in Marriott Newport Beach California for July 25-August 1, 2020. My family of 13 are unable to cross the USA- Canadian border. California is in a state of lockdown until August 1,2020. My costs exceed $10,000 Canadian. No one is offering any assistance or alternative arrangements. The owners of the villas are able to defer everything at no loss to them until 2021. This whole situation is extremely sad for consumers. Marriott accepts no responsibility. Marriott Vacation Clubs deal only with owners. Makes a consumer strongly rethink future dealings with anything to do with Marriott period.
