In general, has anyone had much luck renting their resort? I am having another child this year and am not sure that I will be able to use my week at The Resort on Cocoa Beach. I have an annual floating week and it is considered an RCI Gold Crown Resort.

I attempted to rent through a realtor about 6 years ago and got taken for about 200 bucks and lost my week for the year.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

------------- I've had mixed success, but others are very successful. The biggest factor is how much in demand is your unit. Is it a prime location & a prime week? Is it a unit for 2007 or for next year. It will get more difficult to rent out as the end of the year approaches. You can list it on Redweek (very minimal cost) or check with your home resort to see it they have a rental program. Another option is to deposit the unit with the Redweek exchange system. This way you have three years to book an exchange. Good Luck
