Has anyone dealt with Americap International Corp.?

Has anyone dealt with Americap International Corp./ Also know as Americap??? How was their service and did they deliver what was-or requested? Thanks

Are you buying or selling? If they are an upfront fee timeshare resale company and you're selling a timeshare, DO NOT go with them. You shouldn't have to pay an upfront fee (no matter what they call the upfront fee) to list your timeshare with any resale company. They should get their fee after they sell your timeshare, not before.

They just contacted me for my phone number. I had posted a wish and they responded saying they had rentals? Are they a scam?

Myself and a friend were contacted by them about rentals. We were just trying to find out about their reputation. They make you pay in advance, which was fishy. Just trying to do some research. Thanks...

My travel dates are April 13-20, 2008 I will keep you all posted. Yes, please let us know if you have any problems. We always highly recommend that you use a Vacation Rental Escrow Service to handle the transaction to protect both you and the owner. They offered me a week in Puerto Penasco....asked for money upfront....sent a email receipt for getting the money and it's outof my bank acct. What are your feelings about your tranaction.....legit? or not? I hope for our sakes they are. Did you get any more paperwork from them?

They offered me a week in Puerto Penasco....asked for money upfront....sent a email receipt for getting the money and it's outof my bank acct. What are your feelings about your tranaction.....legit? or not? I hope for our sakes they are. Did you get any more paperwork from them?

Hi Terry & Adriana, I decided not to book through them since I found another timeshare available. BUT, my friend has booked a week through them. They have taken the money from her credit card, but she has yet to receive a contract. She is worried, but hopeful. Will keep you posted.

I'm very uncomfortable that I have nothing to show from them around the money. I've left a message for them to call and to fax me a copy of the completed contract. If they do not do this, I'm tempted to contact my credit card company to see if we can cancel the transaction. Have either of you gotten anything concrete other than the receipt? My receipt only shows that I paid, it doesn't say anything at all about the week they have rented me - dates, location, or anything.

Marty - Yes, it is. He seems nice and sincere enough - I told him yesterday I needed to have a contract or I would contact my CC company to cancel the purchase. I'm not sure if he's just a small company and is inefficient or if there are other issues. I'm kicking myself for paying up front.

I worked with Chris Wood to plan a vacation to Kauai in March 08.

I didn't think too much about it before since my last Redweek transaction went smoothly.

I just saw this thread and almost got sick. I worked with Chris Wood to plan a vacation to Kauai in March 08.

I've tried contacting them to get an update on my contract since I paid by CC over the phone over 10 days ago.

Chris has not called me back yet or e-mailed. I didn't think too much about it before since my last Redweek transaction went smoothly.

Should I wait or panic?

I talked to Chris earlier today about another member. She's expecting a refund since she canceled. Please give Chris a little more time if you still don't hear from him please let us know.

Let's just hope that my phone calls help everyone resolve issues with this company. I think that it just takes them a while to get the paperwork done. At least, I hope that's the case in all the situations.
