I have no idea on earth who or what you are ranting on about. RedWeek is merely an Internet site, on which individuals (and commercial entities) advertise and discuss (such as in these forums) timeshares.

RedWeek itself does not actually sell anything (except advertising space), nor can they conduct (or charge for) "appraisals". Are you perhaps confusing the RedWeek site itself with some entity which has contacted you as a result of an ad you've placed on RedWeek? Blame the entity which contacted you --- which certainly was not anyone representing RedWeek itself.

Bob, I can guarantee that no one from RedWeek.com would call you to tell you that we have a buyer for your timeshare. I don't see that you have any timeshares for sale on our website and another thing is that we don't call anyone unless absolutely necessary. We are a internet company that does most of our business via email.

I hope you can clear up what company that you feel ripped off about and share it with others because it clearly wasn't RedWeek.com.

Best of luck.

Marty RedWeek.com

Bob,I'm giving you the benefit of doubt which is more than your giving this forum!

I think your mixing up your companies or you just want to mouth off and run!

Redweek sells rental/sales space on here and that is it. They do not sell or rent your unit for you so a call like that would never happen.

If you were scam then it was someone calling you or e-mailing and this is only information you could give out.

Chill out, find your facts and then show some class and come back and apologize to Redweek!

Good Luck!

What on earth are you talking about???? Redweek does not sell timeshares you just pay for advertising space. I think before you critisize a great Website get your facts straight. Please change your entry to an apology please they didn't deserve this.Redweek is a mature website for responsible people the swearing is not appreciated. Do your homework first!!!

marty, how come this entire thread hasn't been deleted? It's quite obvious that the OP (original poster) has no clue about how Redweek operates. He's obviously talking about an UPFRONT FEE RESALE COMPANY and there's tons of info concerning those scam companies in Redweek's forums.

It must be two different people because one person couldn't be this stupid!

I don't want Marty to remove this post because I want to see if this clown has the ---- to come back and say he is sorry!

******JayJay, what is your issue? I have seen you all over these forums going nuts about these companies that charge upfront. Were you traumatized by one of these companies? It just seems to me that only ignorant people with little to no intelligence would generalize that ALL companies that charge upfront have to be scams. There are some quality companies that charge a fee upfront for selling timeshare. I sold one of my weeks with them and its a shame this particular company doesn't rent, because i would go with them and have it done already. So please try to have some class when refering to these companies and don't generalize. Your hurting people who want to sell their property and think that all companies are scams.

tom, you're 100% correct that I have an ISSUE with all upfront fee resale companies ..... they are ALL TOTAL SCAMS.

If YOU want to sell someone's timeshare, then take your fee after the sale and not before when you've done absolutely NOTHING to sell that timeshare but take someone's hard earned money (in the hundreds of dollars), told them an unrealistic high price that YOU (among other lies) can get for their timeshare getting their hopes up. YOU take advantage of the weak and vulnerable timehare owner that is not timeshare educated to your scams.

Upfront fee resale scam companies are my NUMBER ONE axe to grind concerning timesharing. There are other injustices in the industry, but these scams are NUMERO UNO for me !

Just read all the testimonials here on Redweek where people have been taken by these parasites. I'm certainly glad the word is getting around and I will do everything in my power to see that it continues to do so.

If I had the money I would buy an entire page in USA today to voice my opinion on UPFRONT FEE RESALE COMPANY scams. Hopefully one day someone that's been taken with such a parasite company and has the money will do so.

I am writing about luxury resort services. i wrote before about the state tax they asked to be wire transferred to an escrow account at Banorte in mexico city. they also asked for federal taxes with assurance our money would be released in 72 hours, then they asked for an escrow tax levied supposedly by the gov't. with a guarantee of $ release in 72 hours finally I said no. now I have filed a claim with the state atty. general in Oregon and the real estate dept as well in Oregon and PREFCO a consumer goods and transaction department in Mexico city Http://www.profeco.gob.mx/ there was someone on your blog asking about the federal tax and the aformentione is my answer.
