Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Purchasing a Timeshare in Massachusetts

Sep 26, 2008

The prior governor of Mass. imposed a law in which a realestate attorney is required to close on property sales.

Does this include timeshares? If so, does anyone know an alternative because this is very expensive to do and certainly a downside for sellers in Mass.!

Thanks.

You need only select and utilize any timeshare closing company which handles Massachusetts timeshare transactions. Such closing companies already engage associated attorneys as "staff" for deed preparation and examination. Typical closing company fee is around $300. In short, you need not initiate any direct contact with (or pay) any attorney directly. If you choose to do so, it will likely cost you more money than just employing a closing company that does NOTHING BESIDES timeshare closings. I like Timeshare Transfer of Vero Beach, FL, personally (and I have no affiliation with them beyond that of a satisfied customer who has used them many times). I believe they handle Massacusetts transactions; you can confirm / refute this on your own via their web site, which identifies each and every state in which they handle closings.
