Due to the struggling economy, the resale timeshare market is quite stagnant (at best) right now. At the developer / retail level, the "market" is essentially dead at this time. Unless your unidentified timeshare is a highly desirable week in a very desirable location (and fully paid up, with no outstanding loans or unpaid fees of any kind), right now you might have to basically GIVE it away via a $1.00 listing on eBay if you are truly committed to just "getting rid of it". Even then, many decent timeshares being offered on eBay for $1.00 receive no bids whatsoever lately. There are over 1,000 timeshares isted on eBay right now. Informed buyers know that even getting a timeshare week for free STILL means "signing up" for an annual maintenance fee obligation. In these difficult economic times, people (understandably) want no part of taking on new, unwelcome financial obligations --- particularly for something which is a luxury, certainly not a necessity.
This is, unfortunately, just a really bad time to be selling. Nonetheless, I wish you luck. In addition to eBay, consider trying Bidshares too, placing your week with a low (or no) reserve price. Advertising there doesn't get the level of exposure that eBay elicits, but at least Bidshares is free to use. Good luck.
