Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

I just received an offer from a New York Law Firm to purchase my timeshare - is this legit?

Hello,

I just received a phone call from a New York Law Firm offering to mediate the purchase of my time share in P.V. for nearly 10 times what it sells for on Redweek. The law firm claims they have big businesses who purchase, use a few weeks for clients and then write the purchase off as a tax deduction. Is this a common scam? The law firm did say once I return the contract (which states by signing I am under no obligation to sell), they will do a title search and once we agree on the final terms, a U.S. escrow company will handle the sale. Of course I don't get paid until the sale is complete, then supposedly I send 1.5% of the sale to the law firm for their fee. Any suggestions on how to proceed with this are appreciated.

Thanks!!

It's a scam .... there's no way a timeshare in this economy is worth 10 times your asking price = red flag bigtime. There seems to be new scams popping up everyday concerning timeshares.
