Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Castle Wealth Management

Has anyone heard of Castle Wealth Management? They contacted me about buying my Cabo Timeshare. No upfront fees but it seems like a scam.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Did you even have your timeshare listed for sale anywhere? If not, then this is obviously a scam. If they are offering to pay you much more than what your timeshare is worth, then again, it's a scam.

They claim "no upfront fees" because they don't call them upfront fees. However, here's what usually transpires. They will say they're ready to close the deal but you have to pay some sort of fee like property transfer fee, lien search fee, gov't tax, etc. before the proceeds form the sale can be released to you. Likely, they'll ask you to wire such funds (untraceable and impossible to retrieve).

I would ignore these people at all costs. Or, if your curiosity is getting the better of you, just play along with them. Mark my words, they will ask you for a payment of some sort and will not buy your property.

Thanks,

It is a scam. They called my elderly Aunt and Uncle and I have been doing research for them. This was just published by the BBB yesterday: http://www.bbb.org/us/article/own-a-timeshare-in-mexico-be-wary-of-unlicensed-internet-companies-35066
