posting timeshare for rent

looking for some tips as I just posted a rental on this site. Any suggestions to make this a successful post and rental? ie. pricing, messaging?

Depending on your resort and time owned (supply and demand) the main thing to keep in mind is to keep your price competetive (in other words lower than others at the same resort) .... in this economy people are looking for bargains.

I have time share at Peninsula beach resort Bali. It is a floating week so I can request my week for any time of year subject to availability. How would I go about renting the week on Red week? Would i book the week and then advise the resort I was allowing someone else would be using it?? Would the resort management go along with this? As the owner arn't I responsible for the bahaviour of the guests? It is a 2 bed sleep 6 so would probably be used by people with children. Thanks

You could do two things .... you could post your ad as a floating week and let the renters choose the date (within your floating timeframe) OR you could book a holiday week or a popular week at that resort. You own your floating week and you can do with it what you wish .... if you should rent it you'll need to call the resort and give them the renter's name and other info. And, yes, it is the responsibility of the owner if there are any damages, however most resorts take a printout of a credit card for anyone that checks in.

Be sure and use a rental contract .... you can search forums for a sample rental agreement.
