Need helpful tips in selling points/weeks

Hi All,

My wife and I bought a timeshare in Las Vegas recently so we are new to the Timeshare family. Our Timeshare is linked with RCI and we would like to learn some of the best ways we can make the most out of our benefits.

From my understanding, one of the benefits of having a Timeshare with RCI are the weeks and points you receive each year. What are some methods or tips do current RCI Timeshare members use in selling points/weeks.

I would be more than happy to share any knowledge concerning points HOWEVER I know nothing about point systems. We owned only weeks before points were born and we sold those weeks before the economic crash (TG). You can go to www.tugbbs.com and get the help you need concerning getting the most out of the RCI point system or any other point system. You have to register as a guest ..... you don't have to join and pay the fee unless you want to.

I'm no expert on how various points systems work either. But if you want to sell, remember not to pay anyone a large, upfront fee to sell, rent out, market, or "cancel" your timeshare (weeks or points).

It would be helpful to get an idea what your weeks/points are worth on the resale market. Most weeks and/or points packages are worth about zero right now. Since this one is in LV, that is likely worth zero because LV is overloaded with timeshares right now. If you're looking to dump your week or points package just to relieve yourself of the maintenance fees, then you may have to simply advertise that you want to give it away.

However, there may be some value in it for you personally if you use your timeshare or exchange with the RCI Points system.
