Hello, a co-worker referred me to redweek.com to look for an affordable place to have my honeymoon next June. I have been amazed at what i have seen. A one week stay at an all-inclusive resort in cancun for $4/nght, $28/wk...can this even be possible? i saw a few, and i feel like this is too good to be true. Has anyone really rented for that amount? Has anyone really had a $30 one week vacation in cancun? any feedback would be much appreciated. thanks!

OR IS IT MOSTLY LIKELY SOME SORT OF SCAM?

It is entirely true that this could be the right price. The catch, however, is the all-inclusive fees. Find out what the amount of the fees are. Sometimes, they can be as high as $100/person per day. For two people, that works out to $1400 for one week.

i see, that makes sense, $1400 seems more like the cost of an all inclusive week for two than $30. would i find this info out by calling the resort, or would the owner know for sure. thanks for your time in answering, i greatly appreciate it!!

I would call the resort to get the information.

Well, I've never rented for that amount, but still could be true. I would also suggest you making a research on the resort. This is a black list of timeshare fraud resorts in Mexico

http://www.timesharescam.com/resorts-black-list/

be sure the company is not on that list

You would use a reputable timeshare closing service such as JRA Services .... depending on how desperate you are to sell your timeshare in this day and bad economic times many sellers offer to pay for closing and 2013 maintenance fees, but that's just up to you.
