A couple times a year my family goes to Florida & also cruises out of different ports in Florida. He always offers his timeshare. I have finally decided to check into it. How do we use this so it doesn't continue to go unused. Can we use other locations in Ft,Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando?
Thank you!!
I would definitely use it .... Mizner Place is a very nice resort. The worst thing a timeshare owner can do is not use or rent their timeshare .... it's like throwing money (maintenance fees) down a toilet.
Are you thinking of buying/taking ownership of this week at Mizner Place .... be aware that many timeshares (even in ultra nice resorts such as Mizner Place) can't even be given away in this economy due to every increasing yearly maintenance fees .... timesharing now is nothing like it was 10 years ago when your uncle bought .... 10 years ago timeshare buying was in it's heyday and very popular.
The only way you could trade into another resort is to have your uncle join an exchange company such as RCI or II and make the exchange for you or if you take/buy this timeshare you would do the same.
Weston FL (where Mizner Place is located) is close to many attractions in south Florida such as the Everglades, cruise ship port, intercoastal waterway in Ft. Lauderdale (and it's multi million dollar homes and huge yachts), Miami (and South Beach), within driving distance to Keys/Key West, Orlando and many other Florida attractions .... the list goes on and on of things to do and see out of that area.
