Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

International Premier Resale

Jan 25, 2013

Is this company a scam?? They say they have a buyer for our timeshare, however, the amount they mention that a buyer would pay is questionable. I think it is not legit.

It's a scam to lure into their trap. They claim a huge price for your timeshare which everyone knows is not for real. Most timeshares have little or no value. Then once they set the hook they claim there is a " fee " that has to be paid before they can complete the transaction. If you are dumb enough to send them money then they come up with another " fee " they claim just came up. They keep coming up with " fees " until they bleed you dry and then disappear with your money.

I do agree with most post on redweek.com, however international premier resale is not a scam, I did want to get rid of my timeshare membership of the MAYAN PALACE, however I didn't want to get scammed in the process of doing so, I phoned the MAYAN CORPORATION and asked if they knew anything about international premier resale since I was doing business with them, The recommended that I keep my timeshare and not to sell to any company but the MAYAN PALACE. Of course they don't tell you that the membership that the MAYAN PALACE wants to buy back for 15% of the actual total value. I refused immediately and keep my contract with International Premier Resale since they were offering me 17,256.00 USD. My sister lives in Atlanta where there home based offices are located. She went and met them in person and helped me get rid of my membership. My funds are now in my hands thanks to my sisters help, and international premier resale. And happy to say im free from my membership of the MAYAN PALACE. please people if you go on vacation don't fall for there gifts and spa treatments don't buy a timeshare specially from the mayan palace. they cheat you out of your money and they don't stop bugging you until you sign. say noooooooo

Let's address the issue. There are more scams coming our of Mexico dealing with timeshares then anywhere else. Most timeshares have little or no value so if someone is promising you a large price for your property it is a scam. They lure you by baiting you with a large selling price. Once thay have you isolated they send official looking paperwork.

Then comes the scam. They claim that there is a " fee " that has to be paid before they can complete the sale. If you are dumb enough to send tham any money they then come up with yet another " fee " that has to be paid. They coninue to come up with " fees " if you keep giving them more money. Once you finally figure out that you've been scammed they disappear along with hard earned money.

It gets better. They put you on their " sucker list " and sell your name to other scammers. Somewhere down the road you will be contacted by someone claiming that they can get the money you lost to the scammers back. Guess what .... they claim that you must first pay a " fee " to get your money back. It's the scammers again.

If anyone believes Amye145 and wants to give this company a chance you have been warned . The first time they ask for a " fee " run as fast as you can. If they are a legitimate company they will take their " fee " out of the proceeds of the sale. Just remember the two basic rules of timeshare fraud.

#1 If it sounds too good to be true then it's " too good to be true ".

#2 NEVER pay anyone upfront money to sell or rent your timeshare.

Use those two rules and you will never get scammed. And remember not to sign any paperwork without having an attorney read it first.
