Can I hear from anyone who has sold a timeshare on Redweek? How long did it take? Any special advice to have it go successfully besides using a reputable escrow company?

We sold some of our previously owned resale bought timeshares via Redweek, HOWEVER that was before the 2007 recession when most timeshares had some value. Since the recession timeshares have plummeted in value .... it depends on the timeshare or brand you own and the time you own as to whether or not it has value.

Many timeshares are being given away in this economy in order to get rid of yearly rising maintenance fees. The asking prices (by owners) you see listed in the ad area of Redweek means absolutely nothing .... the only value is what someone is willing to pay.

Two reputable closing companies are www.timesharetransfer and JRA services (google for url).

I am also considering advertising my timeshare on Red Week and would like to ask the same question. Has anyone recently posted and sold a timeshare on RedWeek?

Actually, this is a moot question .... of course some people have recently sold timeshares via Redweek BUT you have to consider many things:

1. if you bought from the developer you will not get back on the resale market what you paid initially (not even close) .... you'll do good to get 1/10 of what you paid a developer if it is sellable at all

2. depending on the supply and demand of the resort and time owned if your timeshare has any value at all (many timeshares are being given away in this economy)

3. the worst thing you can do is overprice it (it will not sell if you do)

4. you can't go by what others are asking for their timeshares as it's only what people are willing to pay that counts in the long run

5. Redweek is the #1 one timeshare ad site on the internet and gets thousands of hits a day

BTW, I DO NOT work for Redweek in any capacity .... I am merely a reader and poster in their forums.
