We are new to redweek and have found a rental week we would like to purchase. The seller has the week listed on Ebay and as advised us to buy it now. Our instincts tell us that this isn't the greatest idea, especially since Ebay's purchase protection plan is null and void with real estate transactions, including rentals. Any advice on this subject would be helpful.

If you plan to buy this rental week then make sure this isn't a week that has been deposited and exchanged via II or RCI as that's against both exchange company's rules (in other words make sure he/she owns the week they are renting).

Also, make sure a rental contract is in place signed by both you and the owner of the week (you can 'research forums' to find a sample rental agreement).

Many weeks are both sold and rented on Ebay however you have to use caution .... I would email the owner with the pertinent questions above.

I don't recomend you to buy it, if you do, yo don't only pay the price, yo have to pay the maintenance fees and is not cheap.
