Unused leftover points

Can I sell unused 2017 DC points to another MVC owner who needs points to complete a vacation?

I found a buyer through an Orlando Realtor who had me reserve resorts using my points and will be paid $.40/dollar. THis was better than letting the point expire by end of year. At this time, I am waiting for the check.
