Resort management has changed from Southwind to the Colonnade
Yes. We received collections paperwork. I called them and told them Morrisey Law Firm had deeded back the property. He asked for copies of all paperwork including my father’s death certificate, who’s name was on the original deed. I sent it. Called to make sure it was received, which it was. He said he had forwarded it on to the managers who hired him. We have not heard a word since.

We got the same $1,000 notice saying Good Management would cancel our contract for $1,000. Morrisey claims Good accepted our quit claim. I'll probably pay the $1k, but it seems weird to me, that I would deed my property over to someone and be left with a liability. I do not believe that was discussed as a risk of quit claiming.

We got the same wanting the 1M to cancel our "purchase agreement". We have decided to ignore the letter. As I looked through all the paperwork that we signed at the time of purchase all I find is the commitment to pay the loan, which we paid in a couple of months, and to pay the maintenance fees which we have done up to the 2017 which was the last year we were able to and did use the timeshare. We are both 78 and not concerned about any hit our credit score might take. We did the Quit Claim with Morrissey and her letter last week said "it is completely up to you whether you enter into the agreement or not" she said if we don't they may continue to bill us the maintenance fees. I may be wrong but reading between the lines I think maybe she could not tell us that we could ignore their request.

I really don't understand why we should have to pay the $1000 to cancel our contract. We don't even legally own it anymore after the quit claim deed. I just feel like they're trying to recoup money from us to fund the time they were closed. I don't feel like I should have to. I just want this nightmare to be over. What's to say that if I decided to pay this $1000 that another thing wouldn't pop up after this one? It just seems to be never ending...

I too will ignore the additional $1000. Seems like extortion to me, and I am VERY upset with Morrissey law. It appears they did very little to really represent any of us, and now they won’t even return my call. I am seriously considering filing a complaint against Anna at the OCDC for Missouri, which handles these complaints. Why SHOULD WE PAY any additional monies, when we no longer own this trash! Who will be next in line to collect? The collection agency has already sent me a letter stating that their case is closed against me. And yet, here we are, when that thief Inderjet walked free!!🤬

I agree Morrissey did a poor job. I am with you in filing a complaint., also if you go back to June 4th, 2019 you will see that Good Management did a deed back for $280. I don't know why I need a release from them since I don't own the timeshare. Something smells here.

The whole thing has been a scam from day 1 and NO ONE in a position to do so will hold anyone responsible!! I am thoroughly disgusted with the Missouri AG office, Morrisey Law Firm, you name it!! Inderjet embezzled millions and no one cares. They just keep holding their hand out to the TS owners!!

George,
I've been receiving calls from a collection agency named Monterrey who represents the Colonnade. I haven't paid anything in 3 years because of all the issues and don't think I owe anything but the collection calls have intensified and I was wondering if you and others are still not paying.
Thanks, Tom Beard

I spoke to the collection agency, I also forwarded them all of the information on the deed back through Morrissey law firm. When they finally contacted me back and tried to say that that was not binding and we still owed X amount of dollars I told them I did not owe any money and if they wanted to push the issue they could discuss it with my lawyer who did the paperwork. She then proceeded to ask me why we had hired a lawyer and why would we do that in the first place. I proceeded to tell her for instances such as this that things are never ending unless it’s done correctly by a lawyer. I told her good luck at trying to get anyone to pay this ridiculous amount of money when the timeshare was not open or we were not able to use it or trade it through II to go somewhere else. I was VERY firm. That has been several months ago and they have not called me back.

Tom and Shawna, Please send the phone numbers that the collection company uses. We get several calls a day with "unknown" that do not leave voice mails. If I recognized the collection company number I would answer and tell them that we will not send any more money. If you see my post above, August 2021, we paid according to the contract. Nothing in the contract said we would need to pay to cancel the contract. Collection employees can and do lie.
