(That's just my polite way of saying that I believe your post is pure, unadulterated, shill BS). Prove me wrong with some actual FACTS! "Ace" indeed....
In 26+ years of timeshare ownership and experience, I have never even heard of anything called "Ace Timeshares". Ace Hardware, maybe --- but certainly not "Ace Timeshares". Please.....

Would you mind sharing the name and contact info for the company you used in Hawaii? How fast were they able to sell it, and at what price?
Thank you!

hi i know lots of people that work for us vacation and us vacaton is the biggest scam out there i understand the frustration of putting tons of money up front cause i know i wouldnt but when you look at it like i do us vacation goes and takes thousands of dollars from people and never does anything to help
Shae S.
their web site is timeshareresaleshawaii.com It took about a year to sell my timeshare which was really Shell vacations club. Their fee was $2500. All I can say is at least they were up front about everything unlike the flim flam Ace timeshare or US timeshare. I don't understand how those companies stay in business they are such shysters. Lesson learned!

It's been almost 2 years and only 1 offer of $2,000 dollars. After my 'advertising' fee of $941 that would mean I would get $1059. I have written the BBB of Florida but their rebuttal was that the clients dictate their price (which I did not, they did) Bottom line is lesson learned. I am now dealing with a resale company in Hawaii that will charge when they are able to sell. As it should be.
We have a timeshare with a marketing company for over a year, no results. We would appreciate the name/no/email/contact person of the company in Hawaii that charges only when they get results. As you say..as it should be! Thanks!

My message was in error. Had a different Timeshare Company instead of Ace Timeshare. Please disregard what I had written earlier. I have dropped my price on my Timeshare and hopefully. according to people that we're satisfied with this company, it will be sold.

Don't hold your breath .... all upfront fee companies are scams.

Ace Timeshare is among those companies under active investigation by the Florida Attorney General right now, today. That's a straightforward, well publicized and indisputable fact.
You (and others of your ilk) are free to post all of the juvenile insults you wish, but doing so will NOT alter the clear and indisputable fact that Ace Timeshare is just another bunch of useless upfront fee parasites, now squarely (and quite deservedly) in the crosshairs of the office of FL Attorney General Bill McCollum.

I had a call yesterday from a Legal Assistance Team.com in Florida which was seeking information on any up-front fee scams we might have given money to in the past 5 years. The scammers themselves have probably changed names and disappeared, but this entity attempts to get redress from the credit card company with the belief that they should be questioning these charges. (No, he did not ask me my credit card number!) This firm was trying to find people who could document recent losses of this sort and was building a list of up-front fee companies. (I didn't qualify.)
I suggested that, if this was on the up and up, discussion boards such as this were an ideal way to get feed-back on bad experiences such as he was seeking. He was interested but thought he had better check with his firm about the legalities of doing this. Maybe we will be seeing something regarding this here if he gets a thumbs up. Might this have something to do with the investigation by the Florida Attorney General Ken mentions? MD

I could certainly be wrong, but I would be willing to wager that I'm not.....I had a call yesterday from a Legal Assistance Team.com in Florida ...Might this have something to do with the investigation by the Florida Attorney General Ken mentions? This looks like just another scam for getting an upfront fee .... more than likely past employees of upfront fee resale companies that aren't making money because people are now being educated on their scams. Anyone can do what they claim to do and file a dispute themselves with their credit card company within a 60 day period.
BOTTOM LINE, DO NOT PAY ANY TYPE OF UPFRONT FEE FOR ANY TYPE OF TIMESHARE SERVICE OFFERED NO MATTER WHAT THEY MAY PROMISE OR HOW PERSUASIVE THEY MAY SOUND. IT LOOKS LIKE IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH TECHNOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE THESE DAYS TO PUT TOGETHER A WEBSITE. THE WEBSITE LEGALASSISTANCETEAM.COM HAS A 2010 DATE AT THE BOTTOM OF THEIR WEBSITE PAGE.
In looking over the legalassistanceteam.com website, it looks like a hastily put together website with spelling errors such as "Click Here Fraudulant timeshare companies are using some well known conpany (should be company) names in their title in order to fool you, the consumer."
"We will be mnore (should have been more) than happy to give you the answers you deserve."
Phrases such as "We are a consumer advocacy group that fights diligently you...the consumer", it should have read "We are a consumer advocacy group that fights diligently FOR you ...the consumer.
Also, their refund policy (refund of what ?????) is as clear as mud:
Refund Policy
In signing this agreement you are agreeing to pay the Legal Assistance Team (LAT) a service fee. The Legal Assistance Team service fee is a percentage of monies retrieved in the form of credit adjustment, check or cash refund. The fee for services shall be due and payable upon credit being issued to Client.
In the case the Legal Assistance Team is not able to keep your credits permanent we will refund the pro-portioned amount from the fee to the reversed credit amount. Venue and Jurisdiction for all actions to enforce the terms and conditions of the agreement shall be a state or federal court of competent jurisdiction located at Broward County, Florida.
You have three days to cancel as long as no disputes have been opened.
Should it become necessary for the Legal Assistance Team to retain counsel to enforce its rights under this agreement, Client agrees to pay all reasonable cost incurred by the Legal Assistance Team, including attorney's fees.

So there is a charge if the Legal Assistance Team needs legal assistance. I was given the impression that they themselves were a law firm. Their investigation was limited to the past 5 years. Seemed like a possible class action deal, though they did not say that. (At the very least, they should hire a secretary who can spell.) MD

If you people spent as much time researching why not to buy a timeshare in the first place instead of all the time you spend ********, you wouldn't have all these "problems" . When you thought you were gaming the system in the first place by going on your so called free mini-vacation only to come away now owning a timeshare you can't get rid of does not evoke much sympathy from me.
