and I'd suggest you don't tell the desk you are an owner when you check-in. Last time I was in the lobby and let them know I'm an owner I was quickly escorted to the back offices. That was before I could ask any questions. I think they've dealt with enough pissed off owners they don't want that drama in the lobby.

I am so glad to get rid of this MC never again will I have a timeshare in, life They are the worst. I thank God I returned it and did not even get offered 100 dollars. It was a living nightmare. I already lost my 10 thousand dollars anyway. Good luck to all of you

I don't know about their success at reclaiming units, but I can imagine that the long term plan would be to move into the next non-timeshare business model for the property. Perhaps selling some set of units that they own to some other operation for redevelopment, rebranding or just operations.... who knows what the real estate and tourism market mavins in NYC can invent. I don't know if you've noticed that there is another developed property on the south side of the Park Central Hotel building called The West House Hotel. So it's a different operation, but in the same building structure as the actual Park Central Hotel as well as the Manhattan Club.Who knows ultimately who owns and operates which entities.

I just think they can’t do anything with the building unless everyone gives up their shares so it would beehive enryone to hold on and not give their timeshares back. There not much they can do to the owners at this point so they will have to eventually come with real offers to take back the shares

Good morning, We have received the offer below a couple of times already:
We are enclosing an RCI certificate which entitles you to a free week at one of the RCI resorts at no cost to you. To qualify you would need to sign back your timeshare which has been inactive due to a high past due balance which we are willing to waive. Upon receipt of your signed and completed documents we will send you the official RCI certificate for your free vacation and you have up to 1 year from the date of issuance to use it. This accomplishes two things:
1. Deactivating your account and avoiding further credit reporting issues. 2. No future billing will take place and you will no longer be considered an owner of The Manhattan Club. We will pay all the closing costs needed for the transaction.
Please respond by August 15th, 2023 by filling out the enclosed information form as we will need that to prepare the documents.

We regret considering taking further action as a result of your delinquency by transferring your account to a third-party collection agency for further collection activities, which can have an effect upon your credit rating and ultimate loss of your Manhattan Club Ownership. Having said that, however, our priority must be to make decisions that serve all of our Owners. Non-paying Owners place a substantial burden on Owners who are meeting their obligations. Please contact a member of your dedicated staff to discuss your options within the next seven (7) days. Representatives are available to help and are waiting to hear from you.

Got the word today. My account has been deactivated and I am no longer an owner. My credit score seems to have been restored. Funny, there’s no record of ever having been dinged…but I looked a week ago and it was 25 points lower due to derogatory remark from TMC?
