Manhattan Club Lawsuit
For several years I reached out to different timeshare companies and each time I mentioned “The Manhattan Club” I was told they could not help me.

If you use all your days every year it is worth the annual fee. Kitchen, 2 bathrooms, daily maid service, and facilities when you are just visiting the city are all valuable. I know the people who work there and they are friendly. It is a home away from home for me.

Call the MC business office and see if they are still taking them back. We got rid of one of our two weeks that day. Eventually you even get $100 for it. LOL

Our night’s average out to 525/night. Not so sure the annual fee is exactly worth it, but we do it and enjoy it.

We stopped going to TMC over a decade ago due to non-availability. We do, however, put the property into RCI and get back 36 points which often gives us 4 to 6 weeks of vacations depending on the season and location. So I justify the expense as amortized over THOSE additional vacations. Of course, RCI adds on their weekly fee too so it doesn't come cheap.

Check room rates in the area. Ask for a room for the night with the features of the Manhattan Club. Remember, the park is 2 blocks away and the theater district is a walk of 20 minutes. You are a short distance from the best restaurants in the world. Enjoy. My daughter wants it when I die.

they can place liens on your timeshare all they want - they can't do anything with it, unless they short pay the tax bill and risk losing the building for nonpayment of property taxes.
They are looking to have you to give back your share for nothing, so they can own the entire building unencumbered and then sell it for multiples of what they paid for it

Putting a lien on the timeshare is a tactic or apparently the latest tactic. Liens don't eliminate the fact that many owners apparently have wanted to surrender their timeshare and apparently many decided not to pay maintenance fees. TMC seems to be mainly - perhaps merely - putting names on a "long" list of those who want to surrender the timeshare.
I assume TMC management also views these public comments, at least periodically, to keep adjusting tactics with timeshare owners who want to deed back their timeshare, even for free or a token amount if offered.
