Who is allegedly looking for your "sympathy"???

Speaking only for myself, I have used and enjoyed multiple weeks of timeshare ownership for nearly 30 years now. I never had (and never sought) any "free mini vacations" and I certainly never thought I was "gaming any system". I was instead merely guaranteeing myself an annual vacation at a known, desirable location, at a cost lower than renting --- and it has turned out exactly that way since 1983. I could sell any of my remaining few weeks in a heartbeat for about what I paid for them originally (a bit more, in a few instances), but I have no interest at all in selling.

But I digress. The original subject of this thread was (and it still is) Ace Timeshare Inc., an entity which is currently under active and well publicized investigation by the Florida Attorney General. Your juvenile banter and drivel certainly will NOT distract anyone here from staying focused on that one indisputable and important fact.

You might want to consider better exercising your apparently limited intellect by helping "Ace Timeshare Inc." to find themselves a good defense attorney, as it is currently looking like "Ace" (...and others of similar slimy ilk) may be needing a legal defense team quite soon...

If you're speaking to me, I don't need your sympathy ...... I am here to educate people about the timeshare industry and especially about upfront fee resale scams. We once owned 9 timeshare weeks, all but one bought on the resale market, and I sold all 9 myself on internet sites such as Redweek and others when we got tired of continuing rising maintenance fees and special assessments .... plus we made a lifestyle change and moved to the mountains of N.C. where several of the timeshares we owned were located and we had no need for them anymore.

I will have to say that we would never have had the chance to see the many beautiful areas of this great country had we not been into timesharing, but we sold BEFORE the economy went south .... we weren't asking much as we didn't pay much on the resale market.

I feel for those now that can't get rid of their unwanted timeshare due to this awful economy, but I'm here mainly to warn people about the many scams in the industry and especially about upfront fee resale scams and Postcard Company scams that you pay $3500 - $4500 (equivalent to several years' maintneance fees) to have the timeshare supposedly taken out of your name. The problem is that some (not all) postcard companies never transfer the ownership out of your name.

As far as Ken goes, he owns in high demand, low supply southwest Florida and he could sell his timeshares to snowbirds in a NY minute for what he paid for them, proving that not all timeshares are worthless.

Why would I want to do that? I prefer to remain my own gender of being a female.

BTW, sorry your business is going downhill and you're losing your livelihood due to timeshare education and scams from the internet and other media sources. Can you not find a job other than the scam industry ????? Probably not, that's all you know to do.

There are more and more articles written and other news sources outting your scam everyday.

I could care less about Ace or any other timeshare company for that matter. But your living in a dream world if you think there is anything or anyone interested in your precious weeks. Why not just donate them and move on because it seems your over your head.

Your manners are apparently as limited and lacking as your intellect and knowledge. The simple, straightforward fact is that I use and enjoy my timeshare weeks in Florida each and every winter (God willing), and I have been doing so for nearly 30 years now. Accordingly, why would I want to sell my weeks ...let alone donate them??? Almost every year, I receive (and decline) offers from other owners to buy one or more of my weeks, simply because I want to keep and USE them (which is why I bought them in the first place).

I don't know about "living in a dream world", but I certainly do enjoy leaving the ice and snow of my home state behind for several consecutive weeks each winter to spend some time in warm coastal South Florida instead. You might try it yourself sometime; it might help to appease the apparent anger and hostility you seem to harbor and spout here for no readily apparent reason.

In any event, have a nice day (...or try to, anyhow).

Evidently you failed to read my post above .... you only READ what you post yourself .... I'm putting you on ignore as you're not worth my precious time.

You're also so ignorant of the world of timesharing that you don't even realize that the vast majority of Donation Entities do not take timeshare weeks ..... only the high demand resorts in high demand seasons ..... why would they take on the burden of paying ongoing rising maintenance fees on a timeshare someone else couldn't even give away.

You really need to educate yourself on the world of timesharing before spouting your ignorance.

I found out the hard way about Ace Timeshare, Inc. I needed to talk to someone today about a pending sale and called the phone number on my paperwork only to find out the number no longer exists. Go figure! Stay away from Ace!!!

I paid Ace 350.00 a year and a half ago. I keeping getting excuses when ever I call them that they have interest but no offers. I tried to call them again today, Feb 17, 2011 and now the phone has been disconnected. Beware, they are crooks.

Since the time when you unwisely paid "Ace", they have been investigated (and apparently shut down) by Florida Attorney General investigators.

Rather than bother to try to contact Ace Timeshare (which is a waste of your time) your efforts would be better spent filing a formal, detailed, specific complaint with the Florida Attorney General. The chances of your ever getting any of your money back are frankly pretty slim, but those chances are exactly ZERO if you DON'T file a formal complaint. Your choice.

Bruce,

DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT do business with ACE Timeshare. I did, and now neither of the two phone numbers I had are working. They probably turned up under another name and more scams.

In the first place you don't know who is or isn't a snow bird. The last time I knew this was a free country that one could travel where one wanted. Besides, snow birds help the economy in Florida. Secondly, you must have a lot of free time to monitor this web site. BUG OFF

I've tried calling Ace Timeshare recently and the phone number is no longer in service. I'm assuming that they have closed their doors and left town in the middle of the night.

Yep, it's the upfront fee company's modus operandi .... if it gets too hot they close down the whole kitchen.

I "listed" with them back in 2008. About a month ago, I get a call from a guy named Jack Herrer from "Resort Transfer Inc". He claimed he had a buyer that saw my listing on Ace's website. I thought Holy Crap! I am finally going to sell this thing and make money too! Thinking it was too good to be true, I did everything I could do to make sure it was real. I had co workers review the website, the street address on google maps, the "contract". I was asked to put almost 1500 bucks in escrow. I told "Jack" (whick is ironicly the President of Ace Timeshare's name) that I didn't have that and he reduced it to just under a grand. He provided me with a bank account and routing number to have the money wired. I had to have my dad over 1500 miles away wire the money for me. Well, that was 11.17.11. After everything was done, he said he would contact me next week when they were cutting the check. I called and called...he called be back ONCE on 11/23 at like 7:45am, and I missed his call. Have not heard from him since. Since I tried calling him from so many different phone numbers with a 407 area code, I decided to have a friend call him from Kansas City area code. He answered, said he didn't know anything about a time share and that he had the wrong number.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I think the 2 companies are the same and I got screwed TWICE!!!!
