What's going on with Grand Regency/ Great Rock? I just got a Collection notice for past due maintenance dues and I'm hesitant to pay it. I just want out of this mess! We have never even stayed there.

Diane, It has been a couple years since we paid an attorney deed back our week to the new company to avoid future due and assessments. We used Anna Morrisey of Morrisey and Morrisey in Branson. Overall, it cost us about $2000 to be done with it and avoid unknown future costs. But it is done now. No more worries or time going into it.

I have no idea what condition the property is now in, but a couple years ago it was bad and getting worse. It might be worthwhile doing a drive-by to see what you think. Maybe others can help you with recent reports/experiences.

Did you get free and clear? I keep hearing horror stories of deedbacks that end up being refused - from what I understand of Missouri law you cannot force them to take back the property...

If you are still an owner at Grand Regency and would like to discuss a group of us pursuing a legal case please post again and I will check again in a week. I am an owner and requested they do the deed back thing and they said they are not accepting any at this time - last year. I did the zoom meeting for the annual meeting and it was a complete joke. They keep changing management companies and don't respond to anything. The only thing I get is continued, ridiculously high fee bills!

I am also an owner who just wants out and am considering pursuing a class action lawsuit. Will be researching getting a list of current owners and their addresses to take first to the Attorney General to pursue a fraud case and if that goes nowhere on to the class action.

I think it was 2019 when we deeded our week back to GR Anna Morrisey took care of the transaction for us at the cost of $1000. We received past due notices a couple of times, and I wrote back that we did not own any longer because it was deeded back. Then we got a collection notice, and an offer to cancel the contract for $1000 (did not pay). Anna said the choice was ours, but they "probably" would not spend the money to sue us in Wisconsin. Have not heard from them in over a year.

We have not been bothered or billed since deeding back. However, it was a 2 step process and as I say, took $

Please email me directly at grandregencylawsuit@gmail.com. I am just another owner beating her head against the brick wall that is the timeshare industry in MO. I have tried filing a complaint with the Attorney General - that was a joke - the person who was supposed to be helping to resolve the issue just emailed the head of the HOA (who is also, I suspect, the largest owner of the property by getting it free via deed-backs wherein owners PAY to unload this garbage) and he denied anything had ever been wrong and just pointed out that I owed back fees! I refuse to pay any more owners fees because I wanted out 10 years ago and have been chasing the ever-changing people in charge in circles. I would like to approach a lawyer with the class-action lawsuit angle but need several owners to try that. I called the Recorder in Taney County and she said I would need individual owners' names to look up who the owners are ... vicious circle.

Did ANY of you get the notice of annual meeting in time to sign up to attend? I conveniently got my notice weeks AFTER the meeting again this year... another game they play - they use their own postage machine and it has no date on the postage so no proof of when it went through the mail. Apparently the meeting was March 7th and I received the notice a full 2 weeks after that date. I have only gotten notice of these meetings a total of maybe 6 times in the last 20 years - usually at least a week passed when the supposed meeting was to have taken place. I actually drove from Wisconsin to Branson about 10 years back and THERE WAS NO MEETING AT THE ADDRESS, date, or time on the notice - I drove 11 hours each way, paid for hotel, etc. only to end up at a locked door and told it was a space that timeshare companies sometimes rent out for presentations but nobody had is scheduled that week. Last year I got the notice a few days before the meeting and attended via ZOOM - total joke. Most unprofessional meeting EVER and not allowed to speak. Asked questions by typing them in and got no answers. Someone needs to stop these people.

Anyone still on top of this? I haven’t heard from them since 2013. And today I get a letter from Fairshare Solutions talking about a debt we owe to The Branson Club for my timeshare ownership at Great Rock Resort. Who are these two companies? We’ve dealt with Southwind Management, Grand Regency Resort at Thousand Hills and Grand Regency Resort c/o Colonnade Resort was the latest in 2013. Never heard another word from them.
