How long does it take to sell your timeshare?

Does anyone have any information on how long it usually takes to sell your timeshare? We have a timeshare with Marriott Surfwatch in Hilton Head. We are wondering if we post this will it most likely sell in 6 months or will it be more than a year? Any advice on how quickly timeshares sell through REDWEEK?

Depends on what your asking price is and what season you own.

Edited to add that if you bought from the developer you will more than likely lose money when you resale. People searching for timeshares on the internet are looking for bargains (or fair market value), not developer prices.
