Angel Fire-Fairfield Deception
Has anyone else had problems with Angel Fire, NM timeshares? When we bought, a few years ago, we specifically asked and were told AND SHOWN A PAGE IN THEIR BOOK by the salesman that they (the company) would buy back our timeshare-with some loss of money-if we decided to sell. The monetary loss was about $1,000. Fast forward-we found land and decided to sell-the salesman was gone and no one knew what we were talking about! What a surprise (said with sarcasm). When I complained directly to Fairfield, a woman on the phone said that she had heard of that, but it no longer existed... Now, we are about to file a complaint with the attorney general of NM. Anyone else had this problem?

Is the fact that the resort would buy back your timeshare stated in your contract? If not, the only proof you have is the "he said/she said/he said" defense.
There's an old saying concerning timeshare salespeople, 'if they move their lips they're lying". It's my belief that every timeshare presentation should be recorded on a tape recorder as proof of the verbal agreement.
I applaud you for filing a complaint with the Attorney General of that state.
