interval international week

Sep 12, 2007

Ive a week open with interval international and has anyone any suggestions on how to rent it out. no one in the family can use it, and it needs to be used by Jan 16th 2008. any advice would be helpful. Other than florida places are limited at that time of year. thanks.

=========== First check with II to see if they can extend the expiration date. Then, I suggest you check the RedWishes and see if anyone wants a week where the exchange can be used. HOWEVER, rental of Interval International exchange weeks for a cost greater than the amount of the exchange fee and guest certificate is prohibited by II. You may want to consider renting it for the cost of the exchange and guest fees and maybe a very minimal profit. In this way the renter is happy, and you made a few bucks. Good Luck

Hi,

I, too, have accumulated II weeks which I need to rent in order to pay for upcoming annual maintenance fees. Do check the RedWishes daily and when you reply ask for a phone number. The reason for this is that II will only hold a unit for a short window, i.e. 3 hours - 24 hours depending upon date of the week. You can always extend for another year during which time you can post on RedWeek.com for 2009. While I am a last minute vacation planner, many plan ahead a year, particularly if using airline points.

You CAN"T rent it out. Your contract with II says this Once you gave your week to II, they control the play if you get an exchange.

I agree with both Mike and Susann about trying to get an extension.

I had a 2008 week deposited with II and sent them a question asking IF I could have it returned. I received an email back saying they had returned it to me. And they had.
