Can I bring a cooler

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to take a cooler and pack some of our own drinks (water and/or alcohol) to take to the pool?

Also - should we bring our own beach towels? If we don't - can we take hotel towels if we go over to the main beach?

I will be arriving this Friday (Oct 19) - Thanks.
