Duplicate Listing - Bidshare and Redweek
I listed a timeshare on Redweek and also have it listed on Bidshares. Both listing have been out there for months and neither has generated even a query until now. Suddenly, I have a two purchasers. I am in the final stages of a sale for the Redweek listing (contract to purchase signed, the earnest money has been paid, and the deed is ready for recordation). I was planning to withdraw offer on Bidshares but before I could do so I received a notice of a bid that meets my reserve on the same property from Bidshares. Now it is too late to cancel my listing on Bidshare but what are the repercussions? Does anyone (Jayjay for example) know the answer to my question? I suppose Bidshares will bar be in the future but that is certainly acceptable.

Do you have to pay a fee if your reserve is met on Bidshares? I thought that Bidshares was totally free now. Anyway, when I listed a timeshare with Bidshares a few years ago there was a $50 fee if someone met the reserve. A man met my reserve then backed out of the purchase. I was immediately charged the $50 fee. I contacted Bidshares, and with some hassle involved, finally was credited my $50 fee.
If there is no fee involved now, you should be able to contact the person that met your reserve and explain the situation that you kept your Bidshares ad until the Redweek ad transaction was complete, and that you're sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused the bidder. I would then immediately take the ad off Bidshares.
This scenario goes to show that patience and having a reasonable selling price is the key when selling a timeshare ... congrats!
