Trip Advisor reviews

We're considering a stay at the Quarter House in June, but are a little uneasy about the multiple negative postings on Trip Advisor regarding mice and roaches. There was also some concern about safety, as one reviewer referenced a room theft while they were sleeping! On the plus side, we've seen many many positive reviews as well. Which to believe? Also, are there any safety concerns about walking back to the area late at night from Bourbon Street?

I have the same concern about an upcoming stay. Hopefully someone will respond shortly.

I left the message on the general discussion page as well. There were two encouraging responses, so we decided to go for it. We booked a unit in May and are hoping for the best.

If you rely solely on the negative reviews on Trip Advisor, you'll never go anywhere, visit anything, or eat out.

I've stayed many times at Quarter House and have never seen a rodent or even a cockroach.

I have stayed at the Quarter House several times and have found this place to be charming, absolutely NOLA style, clean and run by a very friendly staff. The location is great right in the French Quarter, easy walk to almost all sights, trolly stops and the casino. I would never consider staying at any other place.

We've been back eight or nine times since my 2011 review.

Nothing has changed -- no bugs, no critters.

We've been staying at the QH almost every Spring Break with our young (and now older) family since 2007; have never had a problem with safety or critters. If we did, we would NOT be returning. The resort really is an ideal location and the staff is friendly and helpful. We are currently trying to purchase a timeshare there, we like it so much!
