Cynthia, We love the Gaslamp area of San Diego and the Gaslamp Plaza is great. We have been there probably a half-dozen times. There is a VERY steep parking fee of around $25 per night. But, parking anywhere is the Gaslamp is high. A few great restaurants are Niki Rottens, Bucas, The Ghirardelli Shop for desert, and many more. If you ask the front desk, they surely will have a suggestion for you. The staff is awesome and are always happy to help out.
