To my knowledge, for timeshare closings in SC you MUST have a SC bar member. Accordingly, a SC attorney would not only be "ok", it would actually be legally required.
I'd recommend posting your inquiry on Timeshare Users Group (www.tug2.net), where it would get more exposure. If not already a TUG member, you can join for about $10 (a small, worthwhile investment to help solve your particular problem). There are several busy attorneys / timeshare owners on TUG. While none might actually offer their services, you would surely receive at least a direct, specific referral to either a particular individual or to the SC bar assn. I think your odds of a well informed reply in these RedWeek forums might actually be pretty slim --- no disrespect to RedWeek intended.
You could also contact Timeshare Transfer, Inc. at the 800 number which is posted right on their web site. I don't believe they hanndle SC closings, but they may well be able to provide you with a SC attorney referral. Good luck.

Oddly, you will most likely find that using a closing company will cost LESS than hiring an attorney directly. That's because closing companies have established relationships with particular attorneys, who in turn grant a price break to the closing company as "acknowledgement" for the legal work provided by the closing company.
You should expect a closing with JRA Services to cost $250, maybe very slightly more. You would not likely pay any less (and most likely, you would actually pay more) by going directly to an attorney to engage his / her services.
