timeshare rental agents in orlando
I've read a lot about not paying upfront fees while renting the timeshare you own. But whomsoever I call asks for an upfront fee. I tried to do a google search as well for good realtors in Florida but nothing came up. Could please somebody be kind enough to recommend a good agent who could help me rent 52nd week in Orlando without charging an upfront fee and charging me only when it is rented out? Or do you think for rental, is it a normal practice to charge upfront fee?

Don't go with an upfront fee rental agency as there's no guarantee that your unit will be rented and your upfront fee will be down the drain .... I would list my week for rent here on Redweek and/or other internet timeshare ad sites. Week 52 should be a very popular week in Orlando and if you price your rental right, you can rent it yourself. Placing an ad here is very easy.

There is no need to pay a third party hundreds of dollars to do what you can do your self, which is list your TS on a website. Besides listing on RedWeek, some of the more popular websites are TUG (tug2.net), myresortnetwork.com, and vacationtimesharerentals.com. These are either free or have minimal membership and/or ad costs.

Another option to at least consider is letting your resort rent your week out for you (if your particular resort or management company does so --- many certainly do). Yes, they will take a hefty 25-30% commission to rent on your behalf, but they also assume full responsibility for renter damages, they will handle all related agreements and funds, and you then need not be bothered at all with international transaction details. Just another option to examine, since you are clearly running out of time to rent a week 52 for 2008 anyhow --- that's now only about 90 days away. Frankly, right now is a bit too late for an owner to just be starting to advertise and / or be making rental inquires for late December, 2008. Just a thought...
